FSCC OUtstanding Student Award

Malachi Dempsey is a Portsmouth, Ohio native who was raised by his wonderful grandmother Dorothy Taylor and aunt Maxine Malone. He attended Portsmouth High School and graduated in 2023. He’s a member of the Future American Men Leadership and Development Program and a former member of Watch Me Grown Ohio’s Young Grower Program. Malachi is now a student at Shawnee State University majoring in Cybersecurity and Project Management. He plans on moving to Silicone Valley and becoming a project manager at Google after earning his degree.

Zach Roth is a Senior Honors student at Portsmouth High School and takes post-secondary classes at Shawnee State University. He is a 4.51 scholar. He is a four year soccer player and two year captain of the team. He is also the kicker for the Trojan Football Team. In addition, he is a four year varsity basketball player and plans to swim this year. He was named all district and all conference for soccer and 1st team in the district as a kicker. He was also honorable mention for state as a kicker. He is a member of the National Honor Society. He is ranked 2nd in his class. He attended Cornerstone Church and attends the youth group. He plans to attend Ohio State and major in business.
